iPhone is a smartphone range marketed by Apple since June 29, 2007.
The models in the range, whose interface is based on a multipoint capacitive touch screen, feature a camera that also functions as a camera, an integrated geolocation system that allows localization in seconds using A-GPS and GLONASS systems, and digital mapping software included, an integrated iPod that allows you to listen to and download music via the iTunes Store download platform and Apple Music streaming service.
Internet clients (Safari to surf the web, or Mail to send/consult your email), office applications and basic functions such as SMS and MMS; they also have visual voicemail as a way to access voicemail and the App Store, Apple’s download platform for downloading applications ranging from games to utilities, television and the electronic press.
If the iPhone is not historically the first smartphone, it remains the device that has transformed the smartphone market into mass consumer products.

The Galaxy S10 arrived on February 20 and Samsung desperately needs it to be a success. As the world’s largest phone manufacturer, the Korean has a lot to do for this 10th generation of its Galaxy S.
A chorus of analysts and experts painted the image of a Galaxy S10 packed with potentially extraordinary features, including an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an Infinity-O on-board display and… they were right. The Galaxy S10 could thus return to the great successes of yesteryear – and secure its place at the top of a very competitive ranking.

With its Republic of Gamers brand, Asus is already used to fulfilling the contract wanted by the biggest PC players. Can you do the same on the mobile? The ROG Phone arrives and highlights a world of gamer accessories as a bonus to its device.
The Asus ROG Phone made its first appearance on the web at the beginning of June.
On the first images, we could see the presence of a notch at the top of the screen.
We now know that the latter will have a diagonal of 6 inches and will use Amoled technology, with a response time of 1 ms and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
The rest of the data sheet consists of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor running at 2.96GHz, an Adreno 630 graphics processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB/512GB of internal memory.
Asus has also integrated a cooling system called GameCool vapor-chamber.
The battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh.
On the photo side, you can count on a dual 12-megapixel main sensor.
Asus should officially present the ROG Phone on October 18 in New York City and start preorders immediately.
The basic version should be displayed at $899, while for the 512GB version it will be necessary to add an additional $200.
Among all the smartphone gamers, from Black Shark to Razer Phone 2, it must be said that the design of the ROG Phone is the one most marked by its intentions. From the front panel, there are many special features. If its 18:9 OLED slab is obviously the star of the show, we immediately notice the loudspeaker grilles at the top and bottom of the façade which are very wide and underlined by an orange bronze note.
Otherwise, we will notice that its borders are quite thin, but still present, which means that the phone is not here to satisfy those looking for the most borderless design on the market. The chin only accommodates the loudspeaker, when the front also integrates the front sensor on the right and a notification LED on the left.
The Razer Phone 2 is a high-end smartphone announced by Razer on October 11, 2018. Like its predecessor, it has a 5.72-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It also has a SoC….
Many have missed the announcement of the Razer Phone at the end of 2017; it must be said that the brand is mainly known by PC players. However, its arrival launched a small wave on the market: that of smartphones dedicated to gamers.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has released his Black Shark, Asus has announced his ROG and Nubia his Red Magic. The trend is confirmed as important and arouses curiosity: it was therefore time to respond to this new competition with a new model.
In terms of design, Razer made… a Razer. Like its Blade line of laptops, it has not changed much between the first and second models. We still have here a rectangular glass plate with an extremely industrial design, which a Steve Jobs would not have denied.
There is one major difference, however: this year, the back is made of glass and the edges are slightly more rounded. Similarly, the phone is a little larger (in the order of a few millimeters) and a little thicker. Nevertheless, the feeling in your hand is almost identical to the first Razer Phone of the name, which was already a very large phone.
Lovers of the brand can rest assured: this time, the logo on the back is well covered with RGB LEDs under the name Chroma, which we will see how it works in the software part of this handbook. The placement of the dual rear photo sensor has also been revised: it is now perfectly centered at the top of the phone, just above the company logo, and does not organize its sensors in the same way.
The iPhone is 10 years old. For this 10th anniversary, Apple has marked the occasion with an iPhone X introducing a new and even more upscale segment. This model is effectively sold for 1,159 to 1,329 euros in 64 and 256 GB versions.
Apple has designed the newest iPhone in iPhone history: in addition to processor or camera updates, the “X” brings a new design, new materials, new screen technology or new unlocking technology.
Until then, the brand considered that OLED technology was not up to the task, and preferred the best IPS LCD screens. This new display is manufactured by Samsung, but Apple insists that it is of its own design.
Technically, it has a diagonal measurement of 5.8 inches, a resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels, so a ratio of 2.15:1 even longer than the 18:9 (2:1) ratio of most borderless smartphones. It also features a range of DCI-P3 colors, the same as in the film industry, a maximum brightness of 625 cd/m2, and supports HDR technology to the HDR10 and Dolby Vision standards.
This large borderless display leads to profound ergonomic changes. Not only because of its size, but also and above all because it pushes away the main button integrating the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
The button itself is replaced by gestures to be drawn on the screen. A bottom-up gesture is required to return to the home screen, an arc is drawn to access the task manager without delay, a top-down gesture to access the control and notification centers.
Moreover, we would do without the bar displayed at the bottom of the screen, which disfigures many applications, and wastes a lot of space, even if it means giving up the new gesture from right to left that allows us to quickly switch to the previous application.
The design of the Sony Xperia XZ1 already launched a slightly more rounded change for Sony smartphones. This year, the manufacturer was finally free, and the result is successful.
Sony has always been known in the market for having very good displays, it was the first to integrate a 4K display on a smartphone (the Z5 Premium), and to be the one creating the best photo sensors (without necessarily mastering them perfectly on its own products). Obviously, these two features are found on the new Xperia XZ2.
The classic XZ2 has a 5.7-inch display, while the XZ2 Compact has a 5-inch diagonal. This is the only difference between the two, since they otherwise support Full HD+ definition for an 18:9 ratio, and integrate an IPS LCD Triluminos slab. They both have the support of the HDR.
The lighting conditions were not exceptional, but the tiles of both phones still worked with very deep colors and high brightness. Calibration has never been a real problem with the Japanese manufacturer and the first impression remains as good as ever here.
It should therefore be noted that the Xperia XZ2 Compact seems, at first sight, really equivalent to the largest model: a good point, since this has not always been the case before.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Force features a 5.5-inch P-OLED QHD display, supposedly unbreakable. Delivered in Android 7.1, this smartphone includes the Snapdragon 835 processor with 6 GB of RAM. Zé Force is compatible with the manufacturer’s Mods range of accessories.
Successor of the Moto Z, the Moto Z2 Force benefits from a premium technical sheet. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 835 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage space. At the rear, it has a double 12 Mpix photo module, composed of a color sensor and a monochrome sensor. According to the brand, the smartphone’s 5.5-inch screen is “unbreakable” but surprisingly enough, it is not waterproof. Still compatible with Mods, the Moto Z2 Force is available for 799 euros.
While many competitors are
introducing edgeless smartphones with displays, Motorola is making little
progress in the design of its high-end mobile phone. Its lines are similar to
those of the Moto Z, with a remarkable finesse (only 6.1 mm thick). A figure
that is only valid if we do not take into account the large protrusion – 3 mm –
of the double photo module. Another advantage is that the Moto Z2 Force weighs
only 143 grams.
Does that make Motorola’s design attractive? Not really, in our eyes. At the rear, the lower part – intended to accommodate the Mods – is invaded by a wide band of golden magnets. Although essential, the element leaves an unpleasant impression of an “unfinished” device. Which is very unfortunate for a product sold for 800 euros.
The name of the Moto Z2 Force is linked to the presence of a ShatterShield screen, the name of the technology developed by Motorola for its Moto X Force. Thanks to the superposition of protective films around the P-OLED slab, the screen would be “unbreakable”. On its website, the manufacturer states that the screen is guaranteed against “risks of cracking and breaking for four years”. So, good news, then. Except that it specifies that the device is not designed “to resist possible damage in the event of a fall”.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are two high-end Android smartphones of the phablet type produced by Samsung Electronics.
The presentation of smartphones was made on February 25, 2018, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The presentation was also broadcast live on the Internet and on the mobile application that can be downloaded from the Samsung Galaxy Apps Store. Available by pre-order the same day, both devices will be available on March 16, 2018…
The Samsung Galaxy S9 incorporates the main lines and many features of its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The phone uses two types of SOC chips depending on the geographical area: a Samsung Exynos 9810 chip for Europe and Asia and a Snapdragon 845 SOC for America and China. The same is true for the graphics processor: an ARM Mali G72 MP18 for the “world” zone and an Adreno 630 for the United States and China.
The battery capacity, identical to the previous models, is 3,000 mAh for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and 3,500 mAh for the S9+ version.
The screens are 5.8 inches (14.7 cm diagonal) for the S9 and 6.2 inches (15.7 cm diagonal) for the S9+. They adopt the FullVision 18.5:9 format initiated in 1998 by Italian cinematographer Vittorio Storaro under the name Univisium. This format, which is an intermediary between that of the cinema (the most commonly used being the 21:9 (en) aspect ratio of the CinemaScope) and that of previous television and smartphone screens (16:9), may herald a new standard. It corresponds to the growing use of watching movies on smartphones and placing two identical squares side by side in order to enjoy two applications at the same time, for example, as part of the multitasking function offered by Android.
While the S9 has a single sensor, the S9+ version has a double sensor, but the sensor now has a double adjustable opening for the S9, while the S9+ is the first to have this double opening.
The size of the S9 is equivalent to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and is close to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8+ for the S9+.
As far as applications are concerned, the device hosts the Android 9 Pie operating system with a One UI (formerly Samsung Experience) overlay.
The fingerprint sensor is located at the back, but lower than the S8’s, which was to the right of the camera’s sensor, while the improved biometric and iris sensor is at the front.
When it is released, these two smartphones are announced at a price of 859 euros for the Galaxy S9 and 959 euros for the Galaxy S9+.
In addition, both versions are equipped with a 4GB RAM, the S9, which is also available in a 6GB version. For storage capacity, the S9 is available in 64GB version, while the latter is officially expandable up to 400GB, compared to 2TB for previous models.
The device also supports Bluetooth 5.0 technology and Dual Audio.
The S9+ screen occupies 90% of the surface area, compared to 84% for the S8+.
In addition, the DeX accessory has been improved.
Also, the device also integrates emoji similar to the animoji of the iPhone X.
The device is also equipped with stereo speakers, signed AKG.
For the first time in France, the device is available in a dual SIM version.
The smartphone is available in seven colors: Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, Orchid Grey, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, Rose Pink and Maple Gold.
The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL (codenamed Walleye and Muskie respectively) are two models of Google brand smartphones released on October 4, 2017. This is the brand’s top-of-the-range product.
They have a 5-inch display for the Pixel 2 and 6-inch for the Pixel 2 XL and are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SOC. They run on Android Pie 9.0.
The Pixel 2 is designed and manufactured by Google (through its Pixel Development division acquired last September from HTC).
The Pixel 2 XL is designed by Google but the manufacturing has been entrusted to the South Korean LG. These two new models will not be marketed by the firm in France.
Designed by LG, the Google Pixel 2 XL is the first smartphone with an on-board display from the brand. Combining equipment with the latest software – 6-inch pOLED QHD+ display, Snapdragon 835, Android 8, etc. -This model is a showcase of the latest advances of the American in the field of AI. It should be noted that this mobile loses its jack plug like the iPhone and is not available in France.
